Parliamentary Assembly Marks 1,000 Days of War

In a video statement to mark the 1000th day of the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine, the President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), Theodoros Rousopoulos, recalls the nightmares experienced by Ukrainian citizens who see foreign troops occupying their country, "who every day and every night wake up and fall asleep in fear that the next morning death will strike one of their loved ones."

The PACE President calls on all those who can contribute to finding "a just end with the return of territories to those to whom they belong and the return to peace". Unfortunately, he adds, "the thousands of dead will never return...".
