The Wallabies are pleased to confirm Geoff Parling as the newest and final addition to its coaching group, led by Joe Schmidt.
Parling's appointment completes the full-time coaching staff ahead of the 2024 Tests season with the former British & Irish Lions lock to join Schmidt's team at the end of the Super Rugby Pacific season.
Currently the Melbourne Rebels Forwards Coach, this will be Parling's second stint in the national set up having previously been a Wallabies assistant coach under Dave Rennie for the 2020 Test season.
Following a successful playing career in the UK that included 29 Tests for England and a Lions Series win in Australia in 2013, Parling moved to Australia in 2018, joining the Melbourne Rebels as a player before transitioning into the coaching staff a year later.
The 40-year-old is currently in his sixth season as an assistant coach with the Rebels.
Wallabies assistant coach Geoff Parling said: "It's an honour to coach the Wallabies and to work alongside Joe and the coaching group he has put together."
"The events on the horizon for the Wallabies and Australian Rugby represent an incredible opportunity for everyone involved in the game. I will look to work hard with the Rebels through until the end of Super Rugby, then knuckle down and help push the Wallabies forward."
Wallabies coach Joe Schmidt said: "Geoff has spent more than 20 years, playing and coaching in the professional game."
"His understanding of the lineout, along with his Super Rugby knowledge, and previous experience with the Wallabies will add value to our coaching group."
