Kingston projects have received a welcome boost from other levels of government to deliver fantastic community outcomes.
We recently celebrated advocacy successes that Put Kingston First including:
- Launch of the new North Cheltenham Preschool
- Opening of the new Dingley Reserve Pavilion
- Announcement of Australian Government funding to revamp Cheltenham's Le Page park.
Federal Minister for Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Development, Hon Catherine King, Federal member for Issacs and Attorney-General, Hon Mark Dreyfus, Member for Clarinda, Meng Heang Tak MP and Victorian member for Bentleigh East, Nick Staikos MP joined Kingston Mayor Cr Georgina Oxley and Councillors Hadi Saab, Caroline White, Chris Hill and Georgia Erevnidis at events to launch these exciting projects.
Dingley Reserve
Dingley Cricket, Dingley Junior Football Club and Dingley Football and Netball Clubs joined us to celebrate the redeveloped Dingley Reserve pavilion.
The project meets growing demand for cricket and AFL facilities and a need for more community facilities.
The $9.9 million revamp was in collaboration with the Australian Government, the Victorian Government, AFL Victoria, Cricket Australia/Victoria and the resident clubs. We committed $5.2m to the project.
