PATY 2024 - ACT Finalist Chosen

Pharmacy Assistant, Danielle Peel from Cooleman Court Pharmacy has been chosen to represent the ACT at the National Finals of the 2024 Pharmacy Guild of Australia/Maxigesic Pharmacy Assistant of the Year Award (PATY).

Danielle was selected from seven territory finalists at the ACT workshop on Thursday 27 June 2024, where participants demonstrated their pharmacy knowledge and showcased their skills in customer service and leadership.

Now in its 18th year, PATY is the premier award for pharmacy assistants in Australia.

The Pharmacy Guild of Australia's ACT Branch Vice President, Elise Apolloni congratulated Danielle for her valuable contribution to community pharmacy in Canberra.

"PATY was established to recognise Pharmacy Assistants who go above and beyond in assisting patients and are proactive in their careers," Ms Apolloni said.

"Danielle has shown exceptional dedication to her role and to the pharmacy industry, which perfectly embodies the spirit of this award."

"I applaud Danielle for being recognised as the ACT's leading Pharmacy Assistant for 2024," she said.

By participating in the National Finals, Danielle will be in the running to take home over $10,000 in prizes including a $5,000 cash prize, educational opportunities, and other great rewards.

Award Judge and Pharmacy Guild Training Manager, Cindy Hume, was also delighted with Danielle's selection as the ACT Winner.

"It has been wonderful to see so many pharmacy assistants participating in this year's PATY judging," Ms Hume said. "I congratulate Danielle on being chosen as the winner and representative for the ACT at the National Finals."
