Pawfect Beach Balance Sought for Bayside Dogs

We're working on our plan to foster animal welfare and responsible pet ownership, creating a community where people and pets coexist peacefully and respectfully.

Do you think beach restrictions for dogs are fair for all and easy to understand?

We want the dog off-leash restrictions at Ricketts Point Marine Sanctuary and all beaches to strike the right balance between fun on the sand for all visitors while protecting sensitive environments.

We understand there's a wide range of experiences with dogs off leash at beaches, which is why it's important we hear from all perspectives

Your feedback will help us understand if restrictions need to be changed, to ensure they are fair, safe and easy to understand for all.

Have your say

Do you want to unleash your ideas?

We're also looking for a diverse group of individuals from different backgrounds and interests to join our 'Fetching Feedback' group.

The group will help identify their preferences for dogs off-leash on beaches and make recommendations to Council for Bayside's next Domestic Animal Management Plan.

We want to hear from both non-pet owners and pet owners. With our community's help, we can work together to find out what's working well and what can be improved for the safety and welfare of our pets, people and environment.
