A Victorian woman has vowed to make her brother's dream come true by paying off his mortgage after she scooped up a huge win in a recent Weekday Windfall draw.
The victorious Yarra Junction resident held one of the three division one winning entries nationally in Weekday Windfall draw 4446, drawn Monday 23 September 2024. Each entry took home $1 million.
The winning woman took a little longer to realise she had won, admitting that she initially mistook the winning calls and emails she received earlier in the week as a scam.
“Oh my god! I’m in total shock,” she said.
“I saw your email and calls and I thought it was a scam.
“I’m speechless. I need to absorb this. I need a coffee.
“I’ve always said if I win big, I’ll pay off my brother's mortgage and now I can! He won’t see this coming!
“My husband and I have been looking to go on holiday. We might go to Fiji.
“He’s in the background now saying this will help us retire! It sure will.
“I only play a small ticket each week. I’ve got my set numbers of family birthdays I always use.
“Thank you so much. Looks like we’re going out for lunch now!
The winning marked 4-game entry was purchased at Yarra Junction Newsagency, 2454 Warburton Highway, Yarra Junction.
Yarra Junction Newsagency manager Matt Sartori said the team were ecstatic to have sold another division one winning entry.

“We’re on a winning streak. Each day we don’t know who’s going to walk in next with a winning ticket.

The winning numbers in Weekday Windfall draw 4446 on Monday 23 September 2024 were 43, 33, 7, 23, 36 and 11, while the supplementary numbers were 3 and 21.
Across Australia, there were three division one winning entries in Weekday Windfall draw 4446 – one each in South Australia, Victoria and Western Australia.
