Four teenagers have been arrested after a short pursuit in a stolen car through the Eastern suburbs early this morning.
About 3.15am on Monday 16 October, Eastern District patrols spotted a stolen silver Toyota Camry travelling on Grahame Drive at Athelstone.
Police followed the car onto Gorge Road and attempted to stop the car however the driver refused and took off at speed.
A short pursuit took place as the car turned onto Lower North East Road.
The driver dumped the car on Spencer Street and ran from the scene with the three other occupants.
Patrols quickly set up cordons and called in Dog Operations to assist with the search of the suspects.
A short time later PD Chaos located the four suspects in the rear yard of a home on Drysdale Crescent in Campbelltown.
The group were searched and found to be in possession of a homemade taser, a machete and a knife.
A 12-year-old boy from Elizabeth North, a 14-year-old boy from Ferryden Park, a 14-year-old boy from Williamstown and a 16-year-old from Andrews Farm were arrested and charged with theft of a motor vehicle, being unlawfully on premises and carrying an offensive weapon.
The 16-year-old and the 12-year-old were granted police bail to appear in court at a later date and the two 14-year-olds did not apply for bail and will appear in Adelaide Youth Court today, Monday 16 October.
Checks revealed the Toyota was stolen from an Athelstone home a few weeks ago.
