Four people have been arrested after they were acting suspiciously in Marion this morning.
About 2.30am Friday 21 April police were called to Minchinbury Terrace in Marion after residents reported seeing four males walking along the street allegedly trying car door handles. Members of the public were able to provide a description of the group and reported that they were heading south toward Murray Terrace.
Southern patrols and PD Zeus were called in and located them walking along Ulva Avenue, Warradale. When the group spotted police they split, running off in different directions. However patrols were too quick, PD Zeus made the first arrest finding one hiding under a trailer on Ulva Avenue. Another was grabbed on Ailsa Avenue and the final two were caught running along Lascelles Avenue.
The 16-year-old from Christies Beach (Ulva), 15-year-old from Morphett Vale (Lascelles), 18-year-old from Windsor Gardens (Ailsa) and 19-year-old from Salisbury North (Lascelles), were all charged with breaching bail conditions. The 19-year-old was further charged with possess prohibited weapon after police located an extendable baton in his possession.
