Pedestrian Dies After Crash At Colo Vale

A pedestrian has died following a crash in the state's Southern Highlands region earlier this evening.

Just before 6.00pm on Tuesday 2 July 2024, emergency services were called to Colo Road at Colo Vale, near Bowral, following reports of a pedestrian being hit by a car.

Officers from the Hume Police District arrived to find a man had been struck by a white Volkswagen station wagon.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated a man, but he died at the scene.

The man, believed to be aged in his 80s, is yet to be formally identified.

A crime scene was established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding this crash commenced.

The driver of the vehicle has been taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
