Pedestrian Dies After Crash - Cabramatta West

A pedestrian has died following a crash earlier this week in Sydney's south west.

About 8.35pm on Wednesday (5 February 2025), emergency services responded to reports of a collision involving a pedestrian and a motor vehicle on John Street, Cabramatta West.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the 80-year-old male pedestrian at the scene before he was taken to Liverpool Hospital in a critical condition.

The driver – a 25-year-old man – was taken to the same hospital for mandatory testing. He was uninjured.

Officers from Fairfield City Police Area Command commenced an investigation into the incident.

Police were notified today (Friday 7 February 2025), that the pedestrian had died from injuries sustained.

A report will be prepared for the information of the coroner.
