Pedestrian dies after hit by car, NSW

A woman has died in hospital after being hit by a car in Sydney’s west last Friday, NSW Police say.

About 8.15pm (10 June 2016), a 63-year-old woman was crossing Goodall Street, Pendle Hill, when she was struck by a silver Toyota Camry.

The driver of the Toyota, a 39-year-old woman, stopped and rendered assistance to the pedestrian, before NSW Ambulance Paramedics arrived.

She was taken to Westmead Hospital with life-threatening injuries; however, died yesterday.

The driver was also taken to hospital for mandatory blood and urine testing.

Police from Holroyd Local Area Command are continuing to investigate the incident.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
