Pedestrian Dies After Preston Collision

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal collision which occurred in Preston on Monday.

Investigators have been told a car and pedestrian collided at the intersection of Tyler and Albert streets about 5pm on 5 August.

A 66-year-old man from Reservoir was taken to hospital where he died on Friday, 9 August.

The driver and only occupant in the car, a 24-year-old Preston man was uninjured and stopped at the scene.

The circumstances surrounding the incident are yet to be fully established and investigators wish to speak to any witnesses.
