Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a fatal collision in Caulfield North today.
A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle near the intersection of Lumeah and Balaclava roads about 12pm.
The pedestrian, who is yet to be formally identified, died at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries.
The circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be established and the investigation remains ongoing.
