Police are investigating after a pedestrian was fatally hit in the state’s north this evening, NSW Police say.
About 7.50pm today, emergency services were called to the Pacific Highway, Tintenbar, following reports of a pedestrian hit by a car.
Ambulance Paramedics assisted the pedestrian, a man believed to be aged in his 20s; however he died at the scene.
The male driver of the vehicle was uninjured and taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
Officers attached to Richmond Local Area Command are at the scene and have commenced an investigation into the circumstances leading up to the incident.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stopers.
