Major Crash Detectives are investigating the death of a 41-year-old female who was struck by a vehicle in the early hours of Sunday 1 July. The female was struck on the inbound lane of the Stuart highway, north of Gulnare road, Northern Territory Police say.
The offending vehicle fled the scene. A 20-year-old male has been arrested in relation to the incident. A white Toyota utility has also been seized in relation to the investigation.
Police urge any potential witnesses to come forward. Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 131444 or Crime Stoppers.
The Northern Territory Road toll now stands at 29.
