Pedestrian struck and killed in Mudgegonga

A man has died after he was struck by a vehicle in Mudgegonga last night (8 June).

It is believed a white Subaru sedan travelling on Myrtleford-Yackandandah Road struck the man near the intersection of Carrolls Road about 11.25pm.

The driver of the vehicle, a 21-year-old Myrtleford man was physically un-injured.

He stopped at the scene and is assisting police.

The pedestrian, a 39-year-old Myrtleford man, died on his way to hospital.

The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be determined and the investigation is ongoing.
