Officers from the Major Crash Investigation Section are seeking information regarding a fatal crash which occurred in Pegs Creek today, Thursday 1 February 2024.
About 2.25am, a 21-year-old man was driving his black Ford Falcon sedan, east along Bayview Road near the intersection with Balmoral Road.
The sedan has veered across the road and struck a light pole in the centre of the median strip, which caused extensive damage to the vehicle.
The driver sustained critical injuries in the crash and was conveyed by ambulance to Karratha Health Campus where he died a short time later.
Major Crash investigators are urging anyone who saw, or who has dash-cam vision of the crash, or who saw the Ford Falcon sedan travelling in the area prior to the crash, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au
