Penguin Man Charged Over Stolen Livestock Equipment

A 25-year-old Penguin man has been charged with multiple offences including stealing and unlawful possession of property and will appear in the Devonport Magistrates Court at a later date.

The charges relate to an investigation into livestock fencing thefts in the greater Ulverstone and Central Coast areas.

Police recently executed a number of search warrants at private residences in Penguin and surrounding areas, seizing quantities of livestock fence panels and cattle loading ramps.

Investigations into the stealings are ongoing, and police are now seeking information from the public.

Police would also like to remind rural property owners to report suspicious activity, and members of the public to be aware of online advertising offering reduce priced farming equipment.

Information can be provided by contracting Ulverstone Police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers anonymously on 1800 333 000 or online at crimestopperstas.com.au
