A NSW Central Coast woman found herself walking in circles this morning after discovering she had won $1 million in last night’s Monday Lotto draw.
The Avoca Beach local was one of two division one winners in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 4390, drawn on Monday, 13 May 2024. Each winner took home $1 million.
The winning woman had no idea of her newfound fortune when officials from The Lott called, leaving her in complete surprise.
“Oh my god! You’re kidding me?! I’ve never won a chook in a chook raffle!” she cheered.
“You have no idea how much this means to me. I’m a registered nurse and I’ve been working for over 40 years!
“I’ve got my ticket in my hand and I’m walking around in circles. This is crazy!
“My husband always said, ‘You’ll never win, people like us don’t win, we just keep working!’. Well, I’ve proven him wrong!
“I’ve been playing since my father passed and I feel like this is a special sign.
“He used to always play Lotto and who knows, maybe he helped me win.
“I always use the same special numbers – birthdays and other things.
“I just can’t believe this. I almost didn’t answer the call because I normally ignore random numbers.
“We’ve been having a few setbacks lately so this is going to help so much. I just can’t wait to tell my family.”
Her winning marked six-game entry was purchased from Kuoch Chemist Terrigal, Shops 1 & 2, 80 Terrigal Esplanade, Terrigal.
The Kuoch Chemist Terrigal team said they were over the moon for their winning customer and wished her all the best with her prize.
The winning numbers in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 4390 on Monday 13 May 2024 were 6, 34, 39, 8, 37 and 45, while the supplementary numbers were 22 and 43.
Across Australia, there were two division one winning entries in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 4390 – one in New South Wales and one in Victoria.
