Perseverance Hall Rd Bridge Work Begins at Ravensbourne

Toowoomba Regional Council (TRC) this week (Wednesday, November 27, 2024) will start bridge construction works over Perseverance Creek on Perseverance Hall Road at Ravensbourne, weather permitting.

TRC Project Services portfolio spokesperson Cr Bill Cahill said the works, which are expected to take 20 weeks, weather permitting, will require a full road closure of Perseverance Hall Road between Palmtree Road and Kynoch Road.

"A detour will be in place via National Park Road to Esk-Hampton Road and Kynoch Road via Ralph Road with heavy vehicles detouring only via Esk-Hampton Road and National Park Road," Cr Cahill said.

"The bridge construction, which will be undertaken by Council's northern contractor Georgiou Group, is part of the 2022 Flood Recovery Program, and is one of a handful of projects left to complete the program.

"The bridge construction methodology has been carefully chosen to deliver a better outcome for the community, including reducing environmental impacts during the construction period, and increasing construction efficiency by pre-casting bridge units off site.
