Dragon boating teams from all over the world will compete in a major race as part of the Perth Chung Wah Cultural Festival, being held across two weekends from 29 November to 8 December 2024. Rounding out the festival season is Africa Week in February 2025, led by the Organisation of African Communities in WA. Africa Week will feature the best and brightest of WA's African communities.

Burswood Park is also hosting Diwali Mela by the Indian Society of WA this weekend.

These major events have been made possible with $2.155 million State Government funding for the Global Connections Through Local Events program administered by the Office of Multicultural Interests.
