Perth Market Snapshot: Week Ending July 28, 2024

Sales transactions in Perth last week were up 4.2 per cent on the previous week, with REIWA members reporting 866 transactions. A closer look shows house sales were up 13.5 per cent compared to the week prior and unit sales were up 2.2 per cent, while land sales were down 43 per cent.

Perth's highest sale price: Applecross – $11,000,000

Perth's lowest sale price: East Perth – $315,000

There were 3,285 properties for sale in Perth at the end of last week, which is almost the same as the previous week. This can be attributed to house listings decreasing 1.9 per cent compared to the week prior and unit listings decreasing very slightly, but listings for vacant land increased 10.5 per cent.

Last week's total figure of properties available for sale is 2.4 per cent lower than four weeks ago and 37.5 per cent lower than levels seen a year ago.

In Perth's rental market, REIWA members reported there were 2,507 properties for rent in Perth at the end of last week, which is 2.4 per cent down on the week prior. Last week's rental listings figure is 1.3 per cent higher than four weeks ago and 33.6 per cent higher than a year ago.

REIWA members reported 713 properties leased last week, which is 11.8 per cent higher than the previous week, 3.1 per cent lower than four weeks ago and 8.7 per cent higher than a year ago.
