Western Australian cricket fans will get to experience the spectacle of a night Test when Perth Stadium hosts Australia in the historic fixture against trans-Tasman rivals New Zealand on December 12.
Tourism Minister Paul Papalia and Sport and Recreation Minister Mick Murray welcomed Cricket Australia's international summer schedule announcement today which will bring some major clashes to Perth.
As a part of the fixtures Perth will also host its first Twenty 20 International in nearly a decade, with world number one ranked Pakistan taking on Australia on November 8.
It comes as the State Government, through Tourism Western Australia, successfully bid to host the International Cricket Council (ICC) T20 World Cup in 2020.
Eleven men's and women's matches will be played in Perth next year, which is expected to attract a huge number of visitors - creating jobs and boosting the economy.

As stated by Tourism Minister Paul Papalia:
"Cricket is a much-loved sport around the world, with some of the major summer fixtures to be broadcast in a number of Tourism WA's key tourism markets including New Zealand, the United Kingdom and India.
"To secure a night Test match is a major coup - it is unique and exciting, creating a fantastic atmosphere for spectators and attracting and engaging a global audience.
"Blockbuster events help grow visitor numbers - which creates tourism jobs and boosts the local economy."
As stated by Sport and Recreation Minister Mick Murray:
"Perth's first day-night Test will be a treat for local fans, offering a more convenient time around work and school schedules, and we expect to see that reflected in the attendances.
"Perth Stadium has unrivalled atmosphere during its night events, and the chance to enjoy Test cricket from the afternoon into twilight and the evening offers something brand new that I'm sure local fans will be keen to experience."
