Picton Teacher's Aide Faces Child Prostitution Charges

A teacher's aide has been charged with allegedly engaging in child prostitution in Sydney's Macarthur Region.

In September 2024, officers attached to Camden Police Area Command commenced an investigation into the activities of an 18-year-old Picton man.

On Sunday 24 November 2024, detectives executed a search warrant in Picton, where they located and seized electronics relevant to their investigation.

Following further inquiries, about 8.45am today (Tuesday 21 January 2025), detectives returned to the address where they arrested an 18-year-old man.

The man was taken to Narellan Police Station, where he was charged with two counts of act as client with child >=14 & < 18 in prostitution, produce child abuse material and possess child abuse material.

He was refused bail to appear in Moss Vale Local Court today.

Police will allege in court the man met children online who he paid to film them engaging in sexual acts with him.

Police will further allege the man had a number of fraudulent online profiles which he would use to extort young children.

Investigations continue.
