Pinjar Scrub Fires

Strike Force Vulcan officers seeking the public's assistance for information as they investigate several suspicious scrub fires in the Pinjar Pine Plantation that occurred on Sunday 23 February 2025.

The first fire started about 8am on Shrike Road, followed by a second fire on Water Road, and a third on Pigeon Road. It is believed the first fire was started by a parachute flare and the other two by tyres being set alight.

Over two hectares of vegetation was burnt and numerous resources including, fire trucks, a front-end loader and bulldozer were used to extinguish the fire.

Strike Force Vulcan officers are urging anyone with any mobile phone or dash-cam vision of the above areas taken between 8am and 9am, to upload the vision direct to them via the link:

Anyone with any information relating to these fires is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via www.crimestopperswa.com.au.&nbsp ; Rewards of up to $25,000 are available for information that leads to the identification and conviction of an arsonist.
