Lansdowne's water supply will be interrupted on Wednesday 28 April while MidCoast Council repairs a number of stop valves in the area.
This will involve isolating the town water supply at various points to undertake the critical repair work and will mean some parts of Lansdowne will be without water pressure throughout the day.
The interruption will begin at 9am and is expected to continue until around 3pm.
"This important repair work will ensure the water network in Lansdowne remains in good working order and will significantly reduce the risk of any unplanned outages occurring in the future," said Council's Director of Infrastructure and Engineering, Rob Scott.
It is expected that residents in the following areas will experience no water pressure throughout the day:
• Yurong, Taree and South Tinonee streets
• Hampton Court
• Morrison, Kew and Toorak lanes
• Parringa Close
• Cundle Road from North Moto Road to Macquarie Street
• 698 North Moto Road to Cundle Road
Lansdowne Public School will not experience any interruptions. A potable water supply trailer will provide an alternate supply to the school during the outage.
"We apologise for the inconvenience and urge customers who experience any issues as a result of the shutdown to contact our Customer Service Team on 7955 7777," said Mr Scott.
