Planning In Full Swing For Glow2680 Christmas Events

Griffith City Council is excited to share that planning is in full swing for this year's Glow2680 program of events.

From hams and jumping castles to Christmas carols and a shopping competition, we're making sure there's something for everyone.

This year's Glow2680 promises to be as bright as ever with the much-loved Rotary Christmas Carnival and Glow2680 lights launch leading the celebrations.

On Friday, 6 December 2024, Memorial Park will come alive with the sights and sounds of the season. Expect an evening packed with fun activities, including the chance to win hams and other prizes, get creative at the arts and craft station, and enjoy family-friendly entertainment like face painting and a jumping castle. The event will culminate with the official lights switch-on, casting a brilliant glow across the park.

Local talent will grace the stage and Santa Claus himself will make a special appearance.

Residents and visitors alike can look forward to the return of festive favourites, including the community Christmas tree, the walk-through bauble, and mesmerising twinkling archway.

Dig out your decorations and untangle your lights! Soul Property Agents are again partnering with Council to sponsor the Christmas Light and Merry Mailbox competition, with prizes up for grabs.

The Glow2680 Star Shopper competition will officially kick off on Monday 4 November 2024, with residents urged to spread the love and shop local.

Mark your calendars for Griffith's Carols by Candlelight, set to take place at the Griffith Community Stage in the Community Gardens on Saturday, 15 December 2024.

Stay tuned as we unveil more exciting details in the weeks to come.
