Play And Learn These School Holidays

Darwin City Council

There are plenty of free and fun activities on offer in Darwin during the upcoming school holidays.

City of Darwin is hosting a range of events for children, youth and families, including free activities and workshops for people of all ages to enjoy.

Lord Mayor Kon Vatskalis encouraged community members to try their hand at something new during the school holidays.

"We are pleased to offer a range of exciting and interesting events for children and their families to experience these school holidays," Mr Vatskalis said.

"You could learn the art of origami, try your hand at scrapbooking or try an outdoor activity such as volleyball.

"If you would prefer to stay inside, our libraries offer family story time and movies for all ages, or you could put your building brain to the test at Lego club," he said.

Casuarina Library will host a Cosplay design workshop for newbie to intermediate cosplay makers aged 15 - 25 years old, and the Darwin City Library will host a free Pillowcase workshop for people to create a personal emergency kit.

City of Darwin's school holiday program runs from Monday 23 September to Sunday 6 October 2024.
