Commencing Monday 10 February, we're upgrading the FG Tricks Reserve playground in Black Rock as part of our Playground Improvement Plan.
The renewed playground includes equipment catering for a range of ages and abilities, including a new triple swing, and a multi-level play structure with monkey bars, accessible cubby, climbing equipment and slides.
Improved landscaping and new pathways will connect the playground to Fern Street Children Centre, and new seating and bike parking is also being installed.
Works are expected to take up to 3-months (weather permitting) and the playground will be closed while we complete the upgrade. Nearby playgrounds at Tjilatjirrin Reserve on Tulip Street and Harold Street playground in Sandringham can be enjoyed during works.
Council is committed to creating welcoming and vibrant spaces that benefit the whole community. The upgrade follows feedback received as part of community engagement programs for the Fern Street Children's Centre and Playground upgrades.
