Plymouth has topped a new survey of university cities with the best landlords.
The city scored 4.45 out of 5, matching Bath, in a poll by Uswitch of UK students living in rented accommodation.
Experts examined cities with more than 3,000 available student properties, focusing on the number of reviews and average ratings for student letting agencies in each city, and they concluded:
"Whether it's the modern amenities, affordability, or the supportive and friendly approach of the letting agencies, Plymouth has consistently received high praise from students."
Further analysis of 2,962 reviews from Plymouth-based students showed that:
- 71% would recommend the accommodation they are living in to another student.
- 68% believe their monthly rent payments are reasonable for the quality of property they live in.
The survey is yet another demonstration of Plymouth's friendliness and affordability as a place to study.
Other recent accolades include Unifresher's Ultimate Alternative University League Table 2023 naming the University of Plymouth as the best in South West England - the only university in the region to make the top ten - and being ranked the seventh cheapest place for students to live in the UK.
And, if that wasn't enough, the University of Plymouth was awarded 'Gold' ratings across the board in the latest Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF)
