A man has been arrested after PolAir followed a car for almost an hour through the southern suburbs this morning.
About 9.45am on Thursday 30 November, police spotted a purple Holden Commodore sedan, being driven by a man suspected of committing recent thefts, on Just Road at Sellicks Beach.
PolAir were quickly overhead and followed the car onto Main South Road, Hahn Road and then north onto Almond Grove Road.
The vehicle travelled at speed through Pages Flat and then onto Hindmarsh Tiers Road.
About 10.30am the car was dumped on California Road at Tatachilla. The driver was seen to get out of the vehicle and run into a nearby paddock.
The man then entered a white Holden Cruz and made his way back to Gulfview Road at Sellicks Beach. At this time he exited the Cruz and got into a silver Holden utility and took off heading south onto Gulfview Road where the car was successfully spiked.
The car continued heading north onto Main South Road before it came to a stop.
A 45-year-old man from Port Willunga was arrested without incident and is expected to be charged with numerous traffic offences, outstanding matters including theft, being unlawfully on premises and breach of bail.
