Police from Toowoomba Property Crime team and Darling Downs Tactical Crime Squad (TCS) have charged four men after they were tracked by POLAIR in a stolen vehicle in Toowoomba yesterday.
Around 8am yesterday, police were call to Lyndell Street following reports of a suspicious vehicle. Upon arrival police will allege that the vehicle, a stolen grey BMW 330i, was being driven in a dangerous manner. POLAIR was able track the vehicle to a nearby shopping centre in Wilsonton and the men were taken into custody.
A 22-year-old South Toowoomba man has been charged with eight offences including unlawful use of a motor vehicle, unlicensed driving, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, enter dwelling and commit offence, enter premise with intent to commit indictable offence and receiving tainted property.
An 18-year-old Wacol man has been charged with 13 offences including unlawful use of a motor vehicle, unlicensed driving, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, enter dwelling and commit offence, enter premise with intent to commit indictable offence, attempted enter dwelling with intent, attempted enter premises with intent to commit and obstruct a police officer.
A 20-year-old Gailes man was charged with six offences including possessing dangerous drugs, possess hazardous poisons, obstruct police, possession of a knife, threats and unlawful possession of suspected stolen property.
A 19-year-old Toowoomba man was charged with nine offences including unlawful use of a motor vehicle, armed robbery, stealing, attempted enter dwelling with intent, possess dangerous drug, possession of a knife and fail to dispose of syringe.
All four men are scheduled to appear in the Toowoomba Magistrates Court today.
The vehicle was alleged to have been stolen from a French Street address in East Toowoomba in the early hours of yesterday morning.
