Police appeal after a death of a man in Villawood

Police are appealing for information after the shooting death of a man in Villawood overnight.

Just after 9pm (Saturday 16 December 2017), emergency services were called to Gundaroo Street, following reports of a shooting.

A 40-year-old man was found outside a unit complex suffering multiple gunshot wounds. He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics, however died at the scene.

He is yet to be formally identified.

Officers from Bankstown Local Area Command with the assistance of State Crime Command, Homicide Squad have established a crime scene and investigations are continuing, NSW Police say.

No arrests have been made at this time.

Police are appealing for information from anyone who might have seen three men not further described and a silver/grey-coloured sedan in the area at the time of the incident.
