Police are appealing for public assistance after a car was stolen in Sydney's west.
About 9.25am today (Friday 15 January 2021), a woman, aged 21, was driving a white Nissan Tiida north on Speed Street, Liverpool, when she stopped at the Pirie Street intersection.
While waiting to turn right, an unknown man approached the vehicle, opened the driver's door and demanded the woman get out.
The man then got into the Nissan and drove away. He was last seen driving west on Pirie Street.
The driver was not injured in the incident.
Officers from Liverpool Police Area Command attended and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
As investigations continue, detectives would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist with inquiries.
He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged 30 to 50, of thin build, with long black and grey hair that is shaved on the sides. He was seen wearing grey pants and was holding a grey chequered cloth.
