Police appeal after firearms stolen during break-in near Wagga Wagga

Police are appealing for public assistance after several firearms were stolen from a rural property near Wagga Wagga at the weekend.

Just before 11.10am yesterday (Sunday 4 April 2021), two people forced entry to a home at Oura Road at Eunonyhareenyha, about 10km east of Wagga Wagga.

During the incident, jewellery was stolen from the home and several firearms were stolen from a gun safe.

About 4.30pm the same day, officers from Riverina Police District were notified of the incident and established a crime scene at the property, which was examined by specialist police.

An investigation is underway, and police are appealing for anyone with information about the incident, or who may have seen a silver dual-cab utility in the area at the time, to come forward.
