Police are appealing for public assistance to identify a man whose body was located in Surry Hills last month.
Just before midnight on Friday 17 April 2020, a man's body was located on Hunt Street. Officers from Surry Hills Police Area Command attended and commenced inquiries.
While the man's death is not considered suspicious; detectives have been unable to identify him and notify his next of kin.
Following inquiries, police believe the man may be a Peruvian National, however they are appealing for public assistance as they continue their attempts to identify him.
The man is described as being of Asian or South American appearance, aged in his 20s or early 30s, 170cm tall, and with a slim build. The man has distinctive ears with no lobes.
At the time his body was located, the man was wearing a light-blue shirt, and black trousers. He wasn't carrying any identification or a mobile phone.
