As put by Hutt Valley CIB Acting Senior Sergeant Richard Orr:
On the 4 June 2023 the Heretaunga Pistol Club was broken into in Upper Hutt, and a fire was lit in the building.
The Pistol Club is located off Alexander Road in Trentham Upper Hutt.
Further investigations have shown the fire was deliberately lit around 5.45pm that evening.
Three youths were observed near the club and leaving the scene at the time of the fire.
Investigation also discovered recent graffiti had been placed on walls at the club prior to the fire starting
The club stores no firearms on site and Police are investigating an act of wilful damage.
Any knowledge in regards to the youths seen in the area at the time or can assist with by confirming identification of the below Graffiti could call police on 105 and quote file number 230704/8837.
