Police Appeal for Leads in Frankston North Fatal Crash

Somerville Highway Patrol are appealing for public assistance after the driver who lost their life in a crash in Frankston North over the weekend remains unidentified.

It is believed a car veered off McClelland Drive and crashed into trees before catching fire just after 2am on Sunday 3 November.

The driver and sole occupant of the Lexus died at the scene.

Extensive enquiries by police have yet to identify the driver who is believed may have been a male child or youth, Caucasian in appearance, about 166cm tall and around 50kg in weight.

It is understood the silver Lexus RX450 SUV was stolen from a Patterson Lakes property on 2 November.

Police would also like to speak to the driver of a white vehicle that was seen in the area earlier that day and just prior to the crash.

Today they have released CCTV and an image of the Lexus and the white vehicle.

Investigators would like to remind anyone with information that they can come forward anonymously.
