Police Appeal For Public Help: Hit And Run, Southport

Police are appealing for assistance following a hit-and-run traffic crash in Southport overnight, July 26.

Preliminary investigations indicate around 6.30pm, a grey Volkswagen Golf had allegedly driven dangerously at a man in a car park on High Street, pinning the man to a concrete pillar.

The driver of the Volkswagen then fled the scene on foot.

A 31-year-old man was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators are appealing to the driver, or anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has any relevant dashcam footage to come forward.
