Police Appeal For Public Help: Hit And Run, Nerang

Police are appealing for witnesses following a hit and run between an alleged stolen vehicle and a pedestrian in Nerang yesterday, June 18.

Initial investigations indicate just after 5.30pm, a white Ford Ranger was reversing out of a carpark on Wundowie Street when it struck a 51-year-old man.

The driver of the Ranger continued south on Wundowie Street and failed to remain on scene.

The man was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The vehicle is believed to be stolen from Reedy Creek on Saturday, June 15.

Investigators are appealing for witnesses, especially those with dashcam vision of the incident or the moments leading up to it to come forward.
