Police appeal to locate elderly woman missing from Arncliffe

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate an elderly woman missing from the St George area.

Guiying Wang, aged 88, was last seen about 12pm yesterday (Friday 15 October 2021) at Hurstville train station.

When Guiying did not return to her home in Arncliffe as planned, family contacted police.

Officers from St George Police Area Command commenced investigations into her whereabouts.

As part of inquiries, Guiying was seen on CCTV boarding a bus about 1.35pm at Bondi Junction train station.

Police hold concerns for Guiying's welfare due to her living with dementia.

She is described as being of Asian appearance, about 155cm tall, thin build with black hair and brown eyes.

Guiying was last seen wearing a blue puffer jacket, long black pants and black shoes and was carrying a black backpack and black plastic bag with white writing.

Anyone who has seen Guiying, or has information about her whereabouts, is urged to contact St George Police Area Command or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
