Police appeal to locate elderly woman missing from Ryde

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate an elderly woman missing from Sydney's north west.

Shuhua Chen, aged 85, was last seen on Belmore Street, Ryde, about 3pm today (Thursday 18 August 2022).

When she failed to return to home, officers attached to Ryde Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.

Police and family hold concerns for Shuhua as she lives with dementia.

Shuhua is described as being of Asian appearance, about 155cm tall, of medium build, with grey hair. She was last seen wearing a dark woolen jumper, long pants (possibly pyjamas) and green 'Crocs'. She was possibly carrying a walking stick or umbrella.
