Police Appeal To Locate Girl Missing From Bankstown

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a girl missing from Sydney's Bankstown area.

Laura Cook, aged 13, was reported missing by family members when she failed to return home after school about 3.00pm yesterday (Thursday 8 August 2024).

Officers attached to Bankstown Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.

Police and family hold concerns for her welfare due to her young age.

Laura is described as being of Pacific Islander appearance, about 150-160cm tall with medium build, fair complexion with long black hair.

She was last seen wearing a blue jumper, grey trackpants and white, red and orange trainers.

Laura is known to frequent the Bass Hill, Sefton and Birrong areas.

Anyone with information into her whereabouts is urged to call Bankstown police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
