Police Appeal To Locate Man Missing From Strathfield 8 October

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from Sydney's southwest.

Yiquan Yan, aged 77, was last seen in Strathfield about 4pm today (Tuesday 8 October 2024).

When concerns were raised for his welfare, officers attached to Auburn Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police and family hold concerns for his welfare as he lives with dementia and does not speak English. He may also appear confused.

Yiquan is described as being of Asian appearance, about 175cm tall with a thin build, short white hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing grey pants, and a brown zip up jumper. He may also be carrying a bag of empty cans and bottles.

Yiquan is known to frequent the Strathfield, Kingsgrove and Lugarno areas.
