Police appeal to locate man missing from Sydney's south-west 25 December

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from Sydney's south-west.

Matthew Plunkett, aged 48, was last seen walking along North Terrace, Bankstown, just after 10.10am on Thursday 23 December 2021.

He was reported missing to officers attached to Bankstown Police Area Command later that day after he failed to return home.

Family and police hold concerns for his welfare due to a medical condition requiring treatment.

Matthew is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 187cm tall, of solid build, with short grey hair.

He was last seen wearing blue jeans and dark grey hoodie and known to frequent the Liverpool, Burwood, and Leumeah areas.
