Police Appeal To Locate Man Missing From Bidwell

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from Sydney's west.

Apelo Aialeo, aged 38, was last seen on Jasmine Terrace, Bidwell, about 8pm on Friday 19 September 2025.

When he was unable to be contacted, officers attached to Blue Mountains Police Area Command were notified today (Tuesday 23 September 2025) and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police have concerns for Apelo's welfare as he is believed to have entered bushland without suitable equipment.

Apelo is described as being of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, about 180cm tall, with black hair and brown eyes.

He is known to frequent the Bidwell and Mount Druitt areas; however, police believe he is currently in bushland in the Blue Mountains.
