Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a child – believed to be in company with a man known to her – last seen in the Lake Illawarra region.
Freyja McCann-Deas, aged eight, was last spoken to on Monday 27 January 2025, while she was staying in the Albion Park Rail area.
Police were notified on Wednesday 29 January 2025, when Freyja could not be contacted.
Officers attached to Lake Illawarra Police District commenced an investigation to locate the child and are now appealing for public assistance.
Freyja, who usually resides in Western Australia, is believed to be in company with a man known to her; they may be travelling in a 2005-model Toyota Hilux utility.
She is described as Caucasian appearance, about 135cm tall with a thin build, shoulder-length brown hair and brown eyes.
It is not known what Freyja may be wearing.
The man, in company with the child, is known to frequent the Illawarra, South Coast and Central Coast areas.
