Police appeal to locate missing man at Attunga

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing in the state's north east.

Victor Woods, aged 76, was last seen at his home on Palmer Street, Attunga, about 20km north of Tamworth, about 11pm yesterday (Friday 6 January 2023).

When his wife noticed him missing, officers from Oxley Police District were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts, including a search of the surrounding areas.

Police and family are concerned for his welfare as he lives with dementia.

Victor is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 175cm tall, of medium build with grey hair.

It is believed he could be wearing pyjamas or be nude.
