Police Appeal To Locate Missing Man At Chinderah

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from the state's north.

Rodney Dodds, aged 79, was last seen in Walsh Street, Chinderah yesterday at 11pm (Wednesday 28 August 2024).

When he could not be located or contacted, officers attached to Tweed/Byron Police District were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police and family hold concerns for Rodney due to his age.

He is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, 165cm tall, thin build, with short grey hair.

Rodney was last seen wearing a short sleeve shirt with coloured print and dark green track pants.

Anyone with information into his whereabouts is urged to call Tweed Heads Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
