Police Appeal To Locate Missing Man At Moonbi

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from the state's northeast.

Ian Smyth, aged 51, was last seen at a home on New England Gully Road, Moonbi, about 21km north-east of Tamworth, about 8.30pm on Sunday (7 July 2024).

When he could not be located, officers attached to Oxley Police District were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police and family hold serious concerns for his welfare as he lives with medical conditions which require medication.

Ian is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 175cm tall with medium build, light brown hair and hazel eyes.

He is known to frequent Tamworth and Gunnedah areas.
